Amelia Chang has won the gold medal at National Science and Engineering Fair for the project for the project "Determination and Quantification of Functional Biofluid Proxies" she developed under the direction of Dr Gil Alterovitz and Mike Xiang during her intership in the Biomedical Cybernetics Laboratory last summer. Amelia's internship was supported by the Research Science Insitute at MIT. The Singapore Science and Engineering Fair (SSEF) is a national competition organised by the Singapore Ministry of Education, the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR) and the Singapore Science Centre (SSC). The SSEF is affiliated to the prestigious Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), which is regarded as the Olympics of science competitions. Amelia's project was selected among hundreds of finalists in the competition.
